Hello. Thank you for the reply!The LITE-ON is USB connected and the DMA is on.Probably Nero7 again. It's been uninstalled/reinstalled so many times I'm afraid the disc will wear out. It has never run right since I bought it. Probably plenty old posts I've made about it someplace on AfterDawn.I need to replace both internal drives on my Dell Dimension 8400. The cd one is out of balance and runs noisy & the burner quit entirely. Hope that Sam's or WalMart carries them. I got the LITE-ON at Sam's and don't know if that is a good brand for an external burner or not.Thanks again!L2T
